Cottage style guesthouse, designed and constructed from predominately reclaimed materials using traditional building methods.
Situated within the grounds of a Grade II listed country house near Bradford on Avon, the guest house is located away from the main building and has been designed with careful consideration of the existing landscape and orchard. The majority of the construction was carried out using either reclaimed or traditional materials, which complement the main house and surrounding properties
Although the building is listed, the client was able to benefit from the latest efficient insulation. This was used above the primary roof structure finished in a reconstituted stone roof covering. This small cottage added much needed additional living space and guest accommodation, with a heavily insulated outer shell and efficient heating.
